TRIBURY ROTARY CLUB CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE

You are invited to attend the 50th anniversary event of the Woodbury – Southbury – Middlebury (Tribury) celebration on Thursday October 20, 2022, 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Brewbury 1383 Whittemore Road – Middlebury, CT 06762.
Brewbury is not just a brewery that makes its own craft beer on premises, but also a full- scale family friendly restaurant and a sports bar.
Tickets to the event cost $50 and are available at the door or you can obtain tickets by calling (203) 808-2266.
The club was formed in 1972 and continues to serve the three communities within its Rotary International charter. Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Some of the Tribury Rotary club activities include the following.
SCHOLARSHIPS – Provided thousands of dollars in scholarship to high school students in three towns
LITERACY – Promoted literacy by distributing Dictionaries to 3rd grade students and teachers
VETERANS – Provided Beds for Vets (part of District 7980 grant initiative)
ACTS OF KINDNESS – Conducted monthly Acts of Kindness to local and not-for-profit charities
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – Provided donations to Safe Haven, homeless shelters, local food and fuel banks and Big Brother & Big Sister organizations
SENIORS – Donated LED lights for Seniors in three towns
YOUTH – Sponsor the Region 15 Interact Club (Pomperaug High School) and provided funding for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Program
ARTS & CULTURE – Hosted the Southbury Public Library Annual Art Show
Over the past 50 years, the Tribury Rotary Club has offered its members several benefits, including the opportunity to:
