An event every week that begins at 2:00 PM on Friday, repeating until March 24, 2023
Americans are often not well informed about countries that influence our foreign policy primarily because of the paucity of media coverage. Each lecture will focus on a different country, briefly outlining their history and culture to increase our understanding of the context of geopolitics.
Held on Fridays, February 3 – March 24 from 2:00p.m. – 3:00p.m., this series is for adults who look to engage in lively conversations about newsworthy issues. Politics, pop culture, and foreign affairs are all up for discussion in a friendly, open-minded environment. Participants should be willing to learn and listen, and leave with a better understanding of the world we live in. Handouts and at-home reading will be provided.
Dr. Alfred Hunt, who will moderate the discussion, is a retired Professor from SUNY Purchase. He has given lectures throughout New England for over 20 years. He is an author, has twice been a Fulbright scholar, and was a host of an award-winning cable TV Show.
