Oil and Cold Wax – Collage & Mark Making

Students will learn about the oil & cold wax experience from mixing to applying it, using unconventional tools to create different mark-making textures. Cold wax is buttery soft and when mixed with oil paint adds body, transparency and depth to the painting. The technique of mixing oil paint and cold wax, the use of various tools will be demonstrated, how to incorporate collage paper, and more will be used in a series of small display.
