Secrets of Painting the Night Workshop

Secrets of night painting will be revealed in this workshop with nationally recognized artist Zufar Bikbov, a winner of Plein Air awards for his nocturnes throughout the United States.

During this full one-day workshop with master artist, Zufar Bikbov, you will learn how to create a nocturnal composition with its unique approach, and how to start, lead and finish the painting. You will learn various techniques using color, light, underpainting, and finishing that are specific for nocturnes. Oil and Acrylic painters are welcome.

Zufar Bikbov’s careers in medicine and art were parallel for years. The medical field gave this avid plein air painter an understanding of the value of human life and communication as well as an appreciation of the beautiful world around us. In 2003 the world of art inspired him to move to the United States from his native Russia. Plein air became a passion as he traveled across the country.

Zufar attributes his early artistic approach to his father, a watercolor landscape painter, and engineer. Zufar has received multiple awards at major plein air events such as Plein Air Easton, Laguna Plein Air, and many others. He is a member of prestigious organizations such as Plein Air Painters of America and The Guild of Boston Artists.
