Tribury Rotary Chili Cook-Off
April 30, 2021 @ 4:00 PM - May 2, 2021 @ 6:00 PM
$50.00Tribury Rotary Club is hosting a “Chili Cook-Off” fundraiser! How do you have a socially distanced chili cook off? The Tribury Rotary Club has partnered with the below restaurants to bring you the BEST in chili to welcome the warmth of spring…and into your bellies! YOU will be the judges. And just like “Beat Bobby Flay,” it will be a blind taste test. Every restaurant submission will be given a “chili name.” You can taste test: Loving Spoonful, Fiery Passion, Chili Chili Bang Bang, Back Draft and Musical Fruit!
Leo’s, Mercato’s and Nardelli’s, all in Southbury, along with 1754 House and the New Morning Market in Woodbury, have joined the fun by providing their BEST chili recipe for you. Each restaurant will fill a 12 oz cup of chili. The Tribury Rotary will pack up FIVE containers, along with cornbread and Frito’s for scooping! Ticket holders will take it home, heat it up and taste test each chili and vote on the best. Winners will be announced on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 7:00 pm.
Buy your tickets online at TriburyRotaryClub.org and then pick up your specially prepared culinary chili achievements on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 4-6pm at the Brewery in Woodbury.
This is the Rotary’s, “we put the FUN in FUNdraising” event. The Tribury Rotary remains diligent in its efforts to bring about positive change within the communities of Woodbury, Southbury, Middlebury and beyond. As you may know, 100% of all fundraising is used to further our Seven Areas of Focus: Supporting the Environment; Basic Education; Maternal & Child Health; Peace and Conflict Resolution; Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene; Economic & Community Development, and Disease Prevention & Treatment.
The Tribury Rotary does much to help others; most recently, we have supplied beds to our local area veterans; provided scholarship to local area graduating high school students; donated personal hygiene items to abused women and children; supported animal shelters with food and funding; assisted seniors whose homes have fallen into disrepair; offered support to grieving children through relevant kits and online resources to aide them with managing their grief and so much more. We want to do more, and we need your help.
Please purchase a ticket for $50 for 60 ounces of the best chili, together with other goodies and an information packet and coupons. Enjoy the fun and festive food, consider buying some craft beer to go when you pick up your dinners and then be SURE to vote online for your favorite chili. By buying one of the 100 tickets, YOU are one of the judges for this event!
