Ukrainian Egg Workshop

Help Ukraine while honoring its beautiful Easter tradition. Arts Escape is honored to work with Father Paul Luniw to offer a Ukrainian egg-making workshop. A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using wax and dyes. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, “to write” or as the designs are inscribed with beeswax.

Fr. Paul will give a brief lecture about the history of Ukrainian egg making and then demonstrate the methods used to make the creation. We will be collecting cash/check donations for Ukraine on the day of the workshop that Fr. Paul is sending through his church for relief efforts.
